One in three women worldwide experience sexual or physical violence in their
lifetime. With more than 60 per cent of women reported to have experienced
physical violence at some point since age 15, and more than 60 per cent of ever
married women to have experienced physical, sexual and emotional intimate
partner violence, gender-based violence (GBV) is a major public health priority
for the government of Sierra Leone.
